  1. I really love the fishbowls, it's a simple class activity that helps get everyone involved. I really like the fact that a discussion can bounce back and forth between classmates instead of it always being a linear structure of the professor just asking questions to the class or individual students. It doesn't help one person grow intellectually, it helps the whole class. If someone has a good "out of the box" idea but can't fully relate it back to the topic, another student can jump in and make sense of what they are trying to say, thus giving everyone the chance to grow as a student.

  2. What I truly enjoy about fishbowls is that they allow me to get an understanding of where my other classmates' stances are on certain topics and how much they understand the topic. Also, they allow for friendly debate sessions with other fellow classmates which can either further your knowledge on the subject or change your point of view.

  3. The fishbowls allow for me to understand and to get ahold of various viewpoints and opinions of my fellow classmates. Not only does this cause an active and engaging class, but as a student, we get to learn more about one another at a personable level.

  4. I really enjoy being apart of the fishbowls. It's refreshing because the exercise is engaging and interpersonal, and also because everyone has the opportunity to be heard. I also believe it's beneficial to hear different opinions and ideas on whatever it is we're discussing, especially from my peers.

  5. Personally, I believe fishbowl is beneficial in ways that it presents views about a topic from many different angles. I like fishbowl because you can learn from each others view point’s and knowledge, as well you can get to know who everyone is as a person better. Discussing topics from different points can help you learn more how to write and how to view writing, as well as speaking as a task.

  6. Initially, I thought this class was going to be tedious but it turned out to be very interesting and interactive and I actually began to like writing.

  7. I believe that the fishbowls are very helpful. With these fishbowls that we do, we are able to hear different peoples perspectives on a certain topic. With me hearing all of these different perspectives really helps me as a writer because if someone said something that was appealing, I can use that information what the person said in the fishbowl.

  8. I really enjoy having fishbowls during class! It is a great opportunity for everyones voice to be heard. It also teaches you things that you might not have known and shows you other ideas or meanings. All of the points of views and explaining helps with our understanding and is shown through my writing, speaking, and most importantly my thoughts. It really gets you intrigued and wanting to share your thoughts!
