TASK: Develop a 5 Paragraph Response based on Actively Reading the article:

"2 Things That All College Freshmen Should Know"  by Leo M. Lambert and Peter Felten
Time Magazine September 4, 2017

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1hxiE-B1V74F0BcUCeI9_ko_Cco_mtzqn_Lg_XOsce5I/edit?usp=sharing

Discussion Question: In five paragraphs , ANAYLYZE the article as it relates to Education and Identity.
Critically Think about the authors' main points. In what ways can students gain a "trans-formative" experience?

What is "real learning" and how can an authentic college learning experience facilitate a true and genuine education for students in this country?

Choose a main point to either agree or disagree with based on your evaluation of the many points in the article. Why do you agree or disagree? What determines "quality of student opportunities.?"

NEXT: Based on the reading and your analysis,  CONNECT one of the points made in this article to a point made in a lecture from CLASS OR An ARTICLE FROM CLASS OR A TED TALK OR  something from our class fishbowls, a quote, a point made from sociology class, history class or psychology class. Develop a clear and authentic analysis. Your connection should be clear and specific with concrete examples, quotes and (In- Text Citation 5).

Writing Requirements: Be sure to have a solid introduction (strong background and thesis) at least 2 main points, concrete examples, support (in-text citation 5) and a final analysis.
