ReplyDeleteThere is a certain inherent level of individual comfort and moral security against the societal realm that accompanies a belief in a Supreme Being or worship of a higher power.
ReplyDelete- Individual’s choice to gown themselves in attire that pays homage to their religion without the fear of government persecution
- Separation of church and state must be consistent with both genders- women are not meant to be scapegoated
- French Republic guarantees freedom of belief and practice of religious cultures
- Social Interaction is not restricted via means of gowning a burka- merely the exposure of one’s self
o In turn the French Republic views the person interacting with the Burka wearer as the victim
- Many challenge the authority of the republic by wearing garments respective of their chosen religion regardless of law or stature because they find innate comfort in their faith and beliefs
Malicious acts of vicious delinquencies and spiritual persecution by means of religious justification have harshly limited the ability of one to express their devout belief
- When France enacted a law banning headscarves, Islamic groups held violent protests: i.e. Iraq-reporters murdered and tortured.
- Islamic jihad during the times of Muhammad, including battles against the polytheist Arabs (Battle of Badr, Uhud, Khandaq ,Mecca, and Hunayn)

o 'The call to wage war against America was made because America has spearheaded the crusade against the Islamic nation, sending tens of thousands of its troops to the land of the two holy mosques over and above its meddling in its affairs and its politics and its support of the oppressive, corrupt and tyrannical regime that is in control.”- Osama Bin Laden
- Palestinian-Israeli Holy Wars- Palestinians (Sunni), desire sharia law in modern-day Israel and view Jews and Christians as "non-believers"- unacceptable in Muslim culture.
