FUN FACT:
According to the Research on Gratitude, leading researcher in this field, Dr. Martin E. P. Seligman, a psychologist at the University of Pennsylvania, tested the impact of various positive psychology interventions on 411 people, each compared with a control assignment of writing about early memories. When their week's assignment was to write and personally deliver a letter of gratitude to someone who had never been properly thanked for his or her kindness, participants immediately exhibited a huge increase in happiness scores. This impact was greater than that from any other intervention, with benefits lasting for a month (Harvard Health 2).
GRATITUDE : DID YOU TELL THE PERSON you were GRATEFUL FOR HAVING THEM IN YOUR LIFE? This was the assignment on Tuesday.
TASK: WRITE A SHORT LETTER ( text message or e-mail) telling ONE PERSON you are grateful to have them in your life. Jot down the way they responded..
I told MY neighbor Yesterday that I felt grateful to have her family in my life. Yesterday, she helped me with an unplanned olive oil project. I am grateful to live in a neighborhood with so many wonderful families. I told many neighbors that we are grateful to have our children growing up together and sharing a childhood of friendship and adventure.
