Print and Read “ Friends, Good Friends and Such Good Friends” by Judith Viorst Theme- Relationships that are formed vary and yet they all hold value in some way. Sense of Belonging 

  • Answer the following in your notebook and prepare for a class fishbowlDoes the author really define friendship? What is Viorst’s purpose in writing this?

  • It is apparent that the essay is directed toward women. How would Viorst have changed the categories of the essay it was directed at young men? 

  • Compare/ Contrast two categories by drawing a t-chart.
