Part I- READ ALL THREE ARTICLES POSTED BELOW... Once you have read all three articles CHOOSE ONE ARTICLE TO PRINT , ANALYZE AND Respond . Please see the question pertaining to the article. Your response should be in your note- book. However, once you have printed your article re-read it and highlight all of the important elements. REMEMBER active reading! TAKE NOTES AS YOU READ! You will not be able to analyze an article if you do not read it twice, highlight important elements and write on the actual article any questions, connections or thoughts. Active Reading is necessary in achieving what is called critical thinking!

PART II- Print and Read " How to Create an Outline" (it is posted as a page on this blog) . Based on actively reading the article of your choice, create an outline using the outline format sheet I gave you. Think about all of the important details that belong in this outline. Think about concrete examples and quotes. Incorporate names with quotes using language such as "According to Jones.. OR Jones states that... Bring THE ARTICLE, THE OUTLINE YOU CREATED, THE OUTLINE Format SHEET, and your notebook with the answer to the questions asked TO class ON TUESDAY We will have OUR FIRST workshop ON TUESDAY!
BE sure to bring the aforementioned to class on Tuesday.. You will need it in order to successfully participate in a writing workshop!
