Answer the following in your notebook:
Background: Kaufman's purpose is to demonstrate how easily it is to form prejudices and segregate oneself from other people based on assumptions.
* Keep the concept of perspective in mind while reading this piece.

1. Identify one theme in the article. It can be a statement of theme.  Discuss this theme as it relates to perspective and prejudice in one paragraph.  Use in text citation. For instance, "It is imperative that you incorporate concrete examples into your expository paragraphs" (Brady 54).  Note that the period goes after my name and the parentheses.. Why? B/c the statement belongs to source you are giving credit.

2. What do you think of Kaufman? What did you like about his essay? Can you relate anything from Kaufman's article to your life?

3. PRINT PUB 2 ASSIGNMENT and bring it to class on Thursday!  I WILL DISCUSS IT IN CLASS!
