  14. It would seem we've hit a wall on this Opposing view points center...i guess the best thing to do is to make due with internet sources JUST in case the professor continues with collecting the assignment...

  15. to get into the online databases your username is the first 4 letters of your last name followed by the first letter of your first them then the first letter of your middle name if you have one. Password is your bitchdate along with the last 4 digits of your social security number ex. 071792 then the last 4 digits of your social security number. (no spacing all together)

  17. If we are using our "Models for Writers" Textbook as a source do we need to photocopy the pages we are using? Would it be acceptable to just write down the specifics, including page numbers, on a separate sheet of paper?

    ReplyDelete
  18. stefania. You do not have to photocopy the text. You can go ahead and cite it on a separate sheet of paper.

  20. @ andrew - for your introduction you should introduce the topic and give a brief explanation of it and its history. For your thesis statement you should present which side you stand with.

Does anyone know if we're allowed to use wikipedia as a source?

    -Baktash

  21. Baktash- It's better to use databases and references from the library. Wikipedia isn't always reliable and usually not accepted as a valid source from professors.

  27. Yasmin-
I'm pretty sure you don't need to use "Models for Writers" as a source. You can also try using one of the articles we went over in class or one of the video clips we watched.
