PRINT  THE IPSOS - A 30 Country Advisor Survey!

WRITE-  Highlight the countries with the highest levels of happiness..  Discuss  the top 5 factors and potential sources that predict happiness. Based on your findings , what is the most interesting percentage and why?

Discuss AGE and Happiness - What's The good news? What's the not so good news?

If we defined " Happiness" as having comfort,  good relationships including friendships, positive emotion, engagement, meaning and achievement.. where would you fall on the scale according to Ipsos - rather happy, happy, very happy, not so happy and WHY?

• Identity the elements of Epicurean Philosophy.  Label a list in your notebook and then rank them in order of importance to you. 
• What did you choose as your number 1 ? What was the least? Why?
• Choose One significant point that Blackburn makes. Write the point down in your notebook. then WRITE FOR EXAMPLE- on page... Then extract a quote from that particular point to support your ideas... then share the purpose of why you chose it.

WHEN YOU COME IN ON TUESDAY - I will ASK YOU to Share your index card  - IF you do not have one you can use your notebook and transfer it on to an index card in class. 

 WEEKEND BONUS - INDEX CARD - WEEKEND HAPPY BONUS : Go out of your way to make another person happy this weekend by complimenting them ! It must be a stranger. It can be a compliment of any kind.. make it count! Document on the index card - the encounter, the reaction an how it made you feel.  Compliments can be simple or grand.. but they always have a feel good factor for both you and the recipient..

- Fishbowl: What did you do this weekend to make someone else happy?  CAN BE A SMALL GESTURE!! 

Writing Prompt: 

students are asked to share ONE act they displayed over the weekend to MAKE another PERSON happy. 

IN  Fishbowl Up at the board.. Mini Lecture -  WE continue The  INTRO with  - VENN DIAGRIAM- WE continue the Lecture and ADD THE OTHER TWO Articles including  Ipsos " What Makes People Happiest" 

WE WILL ADD Epicurean Philosophy by Blackburn  - Students share ideas to add to the Venn Diagram.
