Research Paper Timeline!

PLEASE BE REMINDED THAT WE WILL NOT MEET IN GLEESON ON TUESDAY. RATHER, WE WILL MEET IN THE LIBRARY ON TUESDAY. PLEASE MEET ME IN FRONT OF THE CAFE. THE LIBRARIAN WILL PROVIDING US WITH A LESSON ON HOW TO USE THE LIBRARY DATABASES FOR THE RESEARCH PAPER WE HAVE COMING UP.

NOTE  TO ALL OF MY STUDENTS! I HOPE YOU LOOK AT T HIS BLOG POST!!!!!!!!!!

AFTER OUR CLASS TODAY I WAS  COMPELLED TO REVISIT THE ASSIGNMENT AND THE POWER POINT.

IN FACT, I SPENT SOME TIME LOOKING AT BOTH MY EXAMPLES ON THE ASSIGNMENT SHEET AND MY EXAMPLES FROM THE POWER POINT.

THE ASSIGNMENT HAS EXAMPLES AND WILL AID  YOU IN THE PROCESS OF DEVELOPING  YOUR IDEAS.

WITH THAT SAID , I AM EXPECTING YOU TO WRITE A COMPARATIVE ESSAY that allows for one contrast ( AS DISCUSSED TODAY IN CLASS).

  1. REVIEW THE POWER POINT AND THE ASSIGNMENT THAT HAS EXAMPLES
  2. IF YOU ARE COMPARING TWO ARTICLES (IDEAS IN THE ARTICLES) PROVIDE ONE PARAGRAPH WHERE THEY CONTRAST ( NOT SIMILAR).

FOR EXAMPLE: IF YOU COMPARE SHARPLE'S YOUNG LOVE AND THE ASPECTS OF LOVE TO THAT OF A PRE- TEEN AND HELEN FISHER'S "THE BRAIN IN LOVE" AND THE ASPECTS OF LOVE TO THAT OF ADULTS....

YOUR MAIN POINTS CAN REFLECT THAT OF THE COMPARISON  - HOW THEY ARE SIMILAR

TEENS AR SIMILAR TO ADULTS IN THIS WAY
TEENS ARE SIMILAR TO ADULTS IN ANOTHER WAY
ADULTS ARE SIMILAR TO ADOLESCENTS IN THIS WAY
ADULTS ARE DIFFERENT THAN TEENS IN THIS WAY. - ADD ONE DIFFERENCE.
FINAL CONCLUSION

ANOTHER TOPIC - COMPARE FRIENDSHIPS TO THAT OF ROMANTIC LOVE- HOW IS IT SIMILAR? ONE POINT IN HOW IT IS DIFFERENT

POINT ONE - ROMANTIC SIMILAR TO FRIENDSHIP
POINT TWO - ROMANTIC SIMILAR TO FRIENDSHIP
POINT THREE - FRIENDSHIP AND ROMANTIC STILL SIMILAR
POINT THREE - HOW ARE THEY DIFFERENT.

ADD ONE PARAGRAPH - HOW THEY ARE DIFFERENT.

IN CLASS - THERE WAS A BIT OF CONFUSION. I BELIEVE MANY OF  YOU WAITED UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE TO PERUSE THE ASSIGNMENT.

IN THAT CASE.. .PLEASE FEEL FREE TO EMAIL ME OVER THE WEEKEND IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS.  I DID TELL THE CLASS THAT I WILL BE SENSITIVE TO YOUR NEEDS BASED ON THE WORKSHOP.  THAT IS MY CONTINUED PLAN.

I DO WISH WE HAD AN EXTRA DAY TO PRESENT THE LOVE WORKSHOPS. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO HAND IN YOUR NOTES FOR THE PRESENTATION, I WILL LOOK AT THEM AND PROVIDE YOU WILL FEEDBACK.

PLEASE ATTACH THE RUBRIC TO YOUR ESSAY!
