1.Work on your Thesis over the break.

2. REVIEW YOUR NOTES: THESIS is a TWO SENTENCE STATEMENT that FOLLOWS your BACKGROUND. This statement encapsulates (IS THE HEART AND SOUL) of your paper. This statement takes the position. IT IS YOUR POSITION. It tells the READER what your paper is essentially about.

AN introduction has a BACKGROUND, the background is considered ideas that lead up to ............
YOUR THESIS.

3. WATCH "DRAFT MY PAPER" Video to the RIGHT of THIS BLOG.
Aside from the CUNY information - the content of this video relates to your research paper. Pay close attention to evaluating sources, constructing an Annotated Bibliography and Research.

Your annotated Bibliography is IN MLA format - NOT Chicago Style. However , the points "Big Margins" makes are applicable.

****REMINDER: Conferencing will begin on 11/29.

  • Check the schedule. Be On Time and Prepared.
  • We will meet in the Library. I will sit at the first table behind checkout.
  • Have your THESIS prepared. Have questions prepared.
  • Bring your annotated Bibliography & any research, questions, comments or concerns.
  • Meet your Support Groups during the next two class days. I have given the class extra time to work and do research while I sit with students individually. 
Good News - The Due Date for Support Group Papers is extended. Due Date: TBA.
